Vivi (or Vivien) is a 18 years old girl who lives in Germany, she's in her senior year and is getting ready for university. She likes meeting with friends, reading, watching tv shows, singing and being on Twitter. The shows she never misses are Glee, American Horror Story, The Big Bang Theory and The Flash. One of her dream is to meet her idols and her goal is moving to America. Vivi thinks she's a really shy person, always trying to be nice to everyone, she loves making people laugh and  never judges anyone, no matter what. The way people see her depends on the person: "They either like me and we get along or they hate me"

"Glee is, for most people, only about ships, how much they hate the storylines and all these fights"

When and why did you start watching Glee? What did you like the most?

I started watching Glee when the first season started in Germany because the promo was so big and it was always labeled as "the TV hit from America" so I just had to watch it. From the first episode I loved how they were not the top of the school. It was the first real show that was about outcasts and I loved that so much. I could identify myself with them and their problems that's what I liked the most and made me keep watching it

What do you think are the differences between watching Glee then and now?

From S1- S2 we all just watched it because we really liked it and it cheered us up but in the middle of season 2 it all turned and now Glee is, for most people, only about ships, how much they hate the storylines and all these fights. Most of the people in the fandom are focused on their ship and if an episode doesn't revolve around it they get really mad. It also changed after Cory's passing because after that Glee and the fandom changed and watching Glee became different because, a big part is missing.

How Glee changed your life?

Glee definitely changed my life by saving it. They helped me through a really really tough time and I don't know where I would be without them today. I always hold on to the actors, mostly to Chris and Darren, when it got really hard. They made me realize that being different is not bad. And they also made me obsessed over two fictional characters.

So what is the message do you get from it?

It used to be that being different isn't bad and that you should be proud of who you are and that you should work hard to archive your dreams and never let anyone tell you that you can't achieve them... but it changed over the last two seasons and there isn't really a message it's just about ships and storylines that are not even realistic.

Can you name some?

Where do I even start? Like Rachel's TV show. That was the worst thing I've ever seen no one should have ever let something like this even be filmed. Everything Sue does as a principal because most of it is illegal and she would be in jail by now, Blaine in a relationship with Karofsky I don't think I need to say why that is unrealistic.

What is the Glee fandom like?

I would say it's a really complicated fandom. We all have our favorite actors, ships and characters and some people in the fandom don't agree with each other so there are a lot of fights, but nothing less we are always there for each other when something happens, like after Cory's passing. We all held on to each other and we were a big family that supported each other. We are a really strong, funny, creative but also a very dramatic family.

Who are your favorite characters?

Kurt and Blaine without a doubt

Why?

I fell in love with Kurt in S1. I just love all of him. He is so brave and strong even after all the bullshit he had to go through. I love his sarcasm and how he snaps at most people but how he is still good at heart and his family and friends are always first for him. Then in S2 Blaine came and I just fell in love with him the minute he was on screen like half million other people. I love how dapper and cute he is with his bow ties and how he is, like Kurt, really brave and strong after all he had to go through in his old school and with his dad. And them together are just heaven.

So you ship Klaine?

I just think they are made for each other. They complete each other. They work so well together and there is so much chemistry. They make each other strong and are always there when they need each other. They would do everything for each other and I just think they are completely perfect for each other because they accept each other for who they are. (I just imagined you reading this because you ship Blam and just shuddering in front of your phone haha)

Why do you think people is so passionate about them? Why they got haters?

Klaine was one of the first teenage gay couples on TV and they encouraged a lot of people to help them to come out, they helped people to realize that homosexuality is not bad and they were a BIG topic back in 2011 when they kissed. It was everywhere and people just love them. They love their chemistry, how they work together and how they are just made for each other. They encourage young kids and make teenage girls swoon. They got haters because they kind of got the main couple on Glee the last two seasons and people hated that. They want their couple to have screen time too and I completely understand that. Some people think the completely opposite of the things I just said and they say they bring a bad shadow over the LGBT community which is not true at all.

Has klaine any flaws?

They have to listen to each other more but besides that no.

Do you ship Crisscolfer?

Can we leave that question out? Sorry... No matter what I say, I will get hate and I made a big secret out of it for the last years... so just no. No one but 2 people know if I ship CrissColfer or Chillarren because no matter what I say I will get hate and death treats like always...

What do you think about Darren?

Darren is just supermegafoxyawesomehot and one of the nicest, generous and just cutest and most perfect person ever. I love everything about him. His acting, his voice, his songs, how he forgets stuff really fast, his hand gestures, how he curses in nearly every sentence and just all of him. He is just a good person by heart to everyone he meets and I love him.

And Chris?

Chris is just... I can't even describe it I just love him so so much. Everything he touches becomes gold in my eyes and he is just perfection in a person. There is no one more flawless than him and he can just do everything. He has so many talents it just blows my mind. He is so good to everyone and just so generous and good by heart. I love him so much

Do you think Chris and Darren are friends?

I think they still are really really good friends.

Why do you think they dont interact very much on the networks?

Probably because they don't want to cause drama over them because every time they tweet each other, Twitter goes nuts.

Do you think they had a love relationship?

If I answer this I'm answering what I ship... I can't, so... that.  You nearly got me there.

What do you think of "Kledding"?

God Bless. Finally. That's the only thing that comes to my head because we waited so long and now it's finally gonna happen. I'm gonna die.

Do you like the double wedding?

No I don't like the double wedding I wish both ships would have  their own wedding and their own moments.

Do you think klaine is stealing Brittana's moment?

Not really because they invite them.

What do you think of the Brittana fandom?

They think Klaine steals their wedding and there are really nice people in the Brittana fandom, I mean, one of my best friends is a brittana shipper but they have people in fandom who hate Klaine with all of their being but The Klaine fandom has people who do it with Brittana shippers the same way. They just want to protect their girls because they love them and don't want any shit for them.

What do you think of Sabine?

She's a very very very nice girl. I always have fun when I text with her or we tweet each other because it's so easy with her. We have the same humor which I really love. She is good from her heart and would do everything for her friends even if she probably hates to admit it because she doesn't like to show any feelings in any form. I hope that I stay in contact with her for a very long time and that we even meet one day

What do you expect from Transitioning?

I'm SO excited because of the Klaine duet and they kiss and I just can't wait it's gonna be AMAZING.

How do you think Glee will end?

No clue but I hope it's not the rumor with the mental hospital. It's RIB we never know...

Finally... How Glee has helped you?

It saved my life, it helped me realize who I am and that I'm worth it, taught me that being an outsider is not bad, helped me being braver and having courage and yeah and probably more that just won't come to my head right now...

When and why did you start to see Glee?

I started watching Glee during the half of S3, and I started watching it because my Grey's Girls (my group of people who watch Grey's Anatomy) saw it, the truth is that I knew of its existence but it didn't attract me until then. I remember my brother, a million years ago, showing me the performance of Imagine but I didn't pay much attention to it, it impressed me though... it was thanks to Andrea and Rocío (Grey's Girls) why I started watching it.

¿Cuándo y por qué empezaste a ver Glee?

Empecé a ver Glee allá por la mitad de la S3, y la empecé a ver porque las Chicas Grey (mi grupo de gente que ve Grey's) la veía y la verdad es que conocía de su existencia pero no me había llamado la atención hasta entonces. Recuerdo a mi hermano, hace mil años, enseñándome la performance de Imagine pero no le hice mucho caso aunque me puso los pelos de punta... pero fue gracias a Andrea, Rocío (Chicas Grey's) por las que la empecé a ver.

How many time you took to catch up with it?
It was during my exams, but I got hooked and I couldn't stop. When I finally was on S3, I waited for it to concluded, so it took me about 3 months, or so.

¿En cuánto tiempo te pusiste al día?

Estaba de exámenes, pero me enganché mucho y no podía parar, pero cuando llegué a la S3 me esperé a que esta hubiese terminado así que unos 3 meses, creo que tardé.

Did you like the show in general or just certain characters?
At first, before watching Glee, I was kind of a hater (like now), it seemed like bullshit to me. But watching the pilot made me like the tv series in general. I didn't have a favorite character but I liked Quinn, Rachel was unbearable to me.

¿Te gustaba la serie en general o personajes determinados?

Al principio, antes de ver Glee, era un poco hater (como ahora), me parecía una chorrada de serie. Pero al ver el piloto me gustó la serie en general, no tenía personaje favorito pero la que más me gustaba era Quinn, Rachel me parecía insoportable.

And as you keep watching it?

As I already knew that  Brittana was an item, I kept looking to everything on the background, but I didn't understand why they didn't speak. I still loved Quinn, I stood Rachel a bit more, but the two cheerleaders stole my heart without even trying it.

¿Y según fuiste avanzando?

Como yo ya sabía que Brittana era algo me iba fijando en todo lo que hacían en el fondo, pero no entendía por qué no hablaban. Seguía queriendo a Quinn, a Rachel la soportaba más, pero las dos animadoras me robaron el corazón sin hacer nada.

What do you think of Heather?
Heather is so great, she's a big role model. I think she can be all the famous she wants but she'll always be the most normal and humble person in the world, and that's what I love about her. Besides, I thought that after Glee we wouldn't see her again but she's got a lot of new projects I'm looking forward to seeing.

¿Qué opinión tienes de Heather?

Heather es genial, es un gran modelo a seguir. Creo que puede ser todo lo famosa que quiera que siempre será la persona más normal y sencilla del mundo, y eso es lo que me encanta de ella. Además, pensaba que después de Glee no la volveríamos a ver pero tiene un montón de proyectos nuevos que estoy deseando ver.

And Naya?
I was a total Naya stan before, but with everything that happened in the Big Sean days I was very disappointed and it made me stop worrying as much as did. But that doesn't mean I don't think she's one of the most talented people in the cast and I'll always love her and support her career. Just by telling you that her voice is my favorite sound in the world I tell you all.

¿Y Naya?

Antes era Naya stan total, pero con todo lo que pasó en la época de Big Sean me decepcionó mucho e hizo que dejase de "preocuparme" tanto por ella. Pero eso no quiere decir que no me parezca una de las personas más talentosas del cast y que siempre voy a tener amor por ella y la voy a apoyar en su vida profesional. Con decirte que su voz es mi sonido favorito del mundo te lo digo todo.

What do you think of Naya and her "No Wonder I'm crazy"?
Did I expect her saying it on national television like someone who asks for the time? No. But in many interviews she has always said that everyone had a chance with her and was open to all, so it didn't catch me by surprise ... I think is good she has said it if she really wanted us to know she is bisexual, it's a big step for her, so great.

¿Qué piensas de Naya y su "No Wonder I'm crazy"?

¿Me lo esperaba que lo soltase en la televisión nacional así como quien pregunta la hora? No. Pero en muchas entrevistas siempre ha dicho que todo el mundo tenía oportunidad con ella y que estaba abierta a todo así que no me pilló por sorpresa... me parece muy bien que lo haya dicho si de verdad quería hacernos saber que es bisexual, es un gran paso para ella así que genial.

How do you feel about Heya?

At first I shipped them and I still think that when Glee started they had something, there was definitely love between them. You just only need to see the photos and old videos. In fact, the writers believed they were together and that's why Brittana began so ... but now with Heya friendship is enough, at the end of the day is what it matters to most of the fandom. Their friendship.

¿Cómo te sientes sobre Heya?

Al principio las shippeaba y sigo pensando que cuando empezó Glee tuvieron algo, definitivamente había amor entre ellas. Solo hace falta ver fotos y vídeos antiguos. De hecho los guionistas se creían que estaban juntas y por eso empezó Brittana así que...pero ahora mismo con amistad Heya me basta, al fin y al cabo es lo que más nos importa al fandom. Su amistad. 

Have you ever identified yourself with the Glee storyline?
To tell you the truth, I had, a lot of times. The main would be the Santana one: being in love with her best friend and trying no one to know, neither herself. Something similar happened to me. And the other would be when Finn didn't know what to do with his life and everyone around him was making plans for the future and he was stuck. I felt it.

¿Te has sentido identificada con alguna storyline de Glee?

Me he sentido identificada en varias ocasiones la verdad. La principal sería con la de Santana, estando enamorada de su mejor amiga e intentando que nadie lo supiese, ni siquiera ella misma. Algo parecido me pasaba a mí. Y la otra, cuando Finn no sabía qué hacer con su vida y todo el mundo a su alrededor estaba haciendo planes de futuro y el estaba estancado. Esa la sentí mucho.

Do you think being in the fandom, or being a gleek, has brought you some kind of problem?
No problems per se, but your other friends don't understand the life in a fandom and it's difficult to explain and  make them understand it without them looking you like you're obsessed.

¿Crees que estar en el fandom, o ser gleek, te ha traído algún tipo de problema?

No problemas per se, pero tus otros amigos no seriéfilos no entienden la vida en un fandom y es difícil explicar y que lo entiendan sin mirarte como si estuvieses obsesionado.

What Glee has teach you ethically?
Glee has made me accept who I am without thinking about what others will say, it has made me love myself. It has also made me less judgmental, which is something that costs everyone a bit. Glee makes you worry about people around you and you trying to understand someone rather than judging by their actions without knowing anything before.

¿Qué te ha aportado la serie éticamente?

 Glee ha hecho que me acepte tal como soy sin pensar en el qué dirán y ha hecho que me quiera a mí misma. También me ha hecho ser menos sentenciosa, que es algo que creo que a todos nos cuesta un poco. Glee hace que te preocupes por la gente a tu alrededor y trates de entenderlos en vez de empezar a juzgarles por sus acciones sin saber nada antes.

Has Glee give you any kind of relationship?

It has given me a lot. Today I met for the first time someone with who I've been talking for 3 years on Twitter. I was very nervous at first, but everything went great. We've made a review of all the riots and bad things we've been through.

It has given me best friends: I don't consider them only "gleeks", they're friends, friends. We are different but we all get along very well and when we party a lot more. Besides, you can always make a Glee reference and they'll understand it, so great. It has  also given me haters, has given me ... my first girlfriend with whom "I came out", I can't complain, to be honest.

¿Y a nivel de relaciones?

Me ha dado mucho. Hoy he conocido por primera vez a alguien con quien llevo hablando desde hace 3 años por Twitter. Estaba muy nerviosa al principio, pero genial. Hemos hecho un repaso por todas las riots y cosas malas que hemos vivido.

Me ha dado mejores amigos: Es que ya como que no les considero solo "gleeks", son amigos amigos. Somos diferentes todos pero nos llevamos genial y cuando vamos de fiesta mucho más. A parte de que siempre puedes hacer referencia gleeks y te entienden así que genial. Me ha dado haters, me ha dado... mi primera novia con la que "he salido del armario", no me puedo quejar la verdad.  

How was your relationship with your girlfriend?
Very good. Not that we broke up because we couldn't stand each other, quitte the opposite, it's great to have someone with who you share so much and understands you. We remain good friends, so well.

¿Cómo era la relación con tu novia?

Muy buena. No es que cortásemos porque no nos soportásemos yo creo que todo lo contrario, es genial tener a alguien con quien compartes tanto y te entiende. Seguimos siendo buenas amigas así que bien.

What did you think of The Hurt Locker?
I thought that coming from 3 episodes in which the essence of Glee returned, then watching that lowered the expectations for the rest of the season without the originals. I, personally, don't care about Klaine, and I understand when people think the same  about Brittana, but the difference is that they don't try shoving it down our throats. Still, I have to say that I laughed with the typical humor of Glee, and the second part wasn't as bad as the first, except Klaine.

¿Qué te pareció The Hurt Locker?

Me pareció que viniendo de 3 episodios en los que la esencia de Glee volvió, te pusiesen eso te baja las expectativas con respecto al resto de la temporada sin los originales. A mí, personalmente, Klaine me trae al fresco y entiendo que cuando la gente ve Brittana piense lo mismo, pero la diferencia es que no nos las intentan meter con embudo. Aún así tengo que decir que me reí con el típico humor de Glee y que la segunda parte no fue tan mala como la primera, exceptuando Klaine.

Do you think Brittana is better than Klaine?
I don't think a ship is better than another (although Brittana for me will always be the best) because everyone likes what everyone likes, I've always said that the OTP chooses you, not you, but if we get "technical": Yes, Brittana is better than Klaine, why? Because Klaine is the most toxic relationship of Glee. Ship wars are in all fandoms, although I think we are more aggressive. Sometimes they can result exhausting but what a boring fandom we would be  without them and dramas?

¿Crees que Brittana es mejor que Klaine?

No creo que un ship sea mejor que otro (aunque Brittana para mí siempre será lo mejor) porque a cada uno nos gusta lo que nos gusta, siempre he dicho que la OTP te elige a ti, no tú a ella, pero si nos ponemos "técnicos": Sí, Brittana es mejor que Klaine, ¿por qué? Porque Klaine es la relación más tóxica de Glee. Guerras de ships hay en todos los fandoms, aunque en el fandom Gleek creo que somos más agresivos. A veces pueden llegar a ser agotadoras pero, ¿qué fandom más aburrido seríamos sin ellas y los continuos dramas? 

What do you think of Brittana proposition?
What do I think... I THINK THAT IT WAS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN WORLD. Never in a million years, after all the shit that we have passed, the Brittana fandom thought a moment like this would happen to our OTP. And after years, I think we can say we don't need fanfics because canon Brittana is too good to be true.

¿Qué opinas de la proposición Brittana?

Qué opino...OPINO QUE FUE LO MÁS BONITO DEL MUNDO. Nunca, ni en un millón de años, después de toda la mierda por la que nos han hecho pasar, el fandom Brittana pensó que un momento así le pasaría a nuestra OTP. Y después de años, yo creo que podemos decir que no necesitamos fanfics porque el canon Brittana es demasiado bueno para ser verdad.

What do you expect from What The World Needs To Know?
I never watch an episode of Glee with high expectations because after all it's Glee and we know it can be the most perfect thing in the world or a monumental shit. But I really want to see it, because after three years the storyline of Santana with her grandmother will be closed and that is very important.

¿Qué esperas de What The World Needs To Know?

Nunca veo un capítulo de Glee con muchas expectativas porque al fin y al cabo es Glee y ya sabemos que o pueden hacer la cosa más perfecta del mundo o una cagada monumental. Pero tengo muchísimas ganas de verlo, porque que después de 3 años se pueda cerrar la storyline de Santana con su abuela es algo muy importante.

How do you imagine the end of Glee?
I don't know, really. I think we all imagined from the first moment we begin to watch Glee how it could end, but the truth is I have no idea. I just hope that it does justice to the show, or at least the first 3 seasons.

¿Cómo te imaginas el final de Glee?

No lo sé, la verdad. Creo que todos nos imaginamos desde el primer momento en el que empezamos a ver Glee cómo podría acabar pero la verdad es que no tengo ni idea. Solo espero que le hagan justicia a la serie, o por lo menos a las 3 primeras temporadas.

How the final perfect scene would be for you?
I think it would be a scene with all originals, it may have passed some years and they would meet after some time, with their own lifes, remembering old times, anecdotes and then they would laugh and sing.

¿Cómo seria la escena final perfecta para ti?

Yo creo que una escena con todos los originales, que hayan pasado años y se reúnan después de un tiempo, todos con sus vidas ya hechas y que recuerden viejos tiempos, anécdotas y se rían y canten.

Importancia de bandas como Fifth Harmony

El grupo en X Factor.

Fifth Harmony es una girl band compuesta por Normani Kordei, Lauren Jauregui, Ally Broke, Dinah Jane Hansen y Camila Cabello; formada en 2012, resultado del programa estadounidense X Factor al cual originalmente se presentaron como solistas. En la actualidad siguen en activo.

"¿Qué importancia tiene una banda como Fifth Harmony en un mundo musical controlado por las boy bands?"

Durante estos años se han ido creando una reputación así como una legión de fans (harmonizers) que deseaban ya su primer CD, después de que sacaran un EP (Extended Play) con 6 canciones originales entre ellas Miss Movin' On o Who Are You; y la publicación de covers como Mirrors, Impossible o Red.

Tras la insistencia de miles de fans, las giras y conciertos, y los constantes retrasos con el debut de su album 'Reflection', del que estrenaron BO$$ y Sledgehammer como single, hoy, 3 de febrero de 2015 por fin sale a la venta al público el ansiado CD.

¿Pero qué importancia tiene una banda como Fifth Harmony en un mundo músical (occidental) controlado por las boy bands como One Direction, The Vamps, Big Time Rush, 5SOS o Union J?

Se presenta un antecedente ya con la canción Miss Movin' On, uno de sus mayores éxitos, en el cual se habla de un cambio drástico de la actitud de una mujer, donde cambia para mejor, donde es más fuerte, donde no tiene miedo, es el "día de independencia". El  enfoque de una banda como Fifth Harmony, compuesta por chicas donde la mayor tiene 21 años, son, sobre todo, jóvenes pre-adolescentes y adolescentes. No cabe decir que la adolescencia es una de las etapas de la vida más extraña y complicada en muchos casos. El mensaje, por lo tanto, de la banda es no solo positivo sino también acertado.

BO$$ es otra pieza clave en este esquema a gran escala de la banda, esta podría denominarse la continuación de Miss Movin' On, en ella se retrata a una mujer independiente, que quiere lo mejor para sí misma, se gana el dinero por sus propios medios, que no le interesan relaciones con gente que pueda menospreciarla, que es segura de sí misma y que pide a las demás mujeres que se unan a su 'causa'.

En palabras de Cabello: "Lo importante de esta canción es que las chicas que tienen nuestra edad se sientan seguras y poderosas porque la inseguridad a esta edad es algo común y normal. Así que espero que cuando oigáis la canción os sintáis sexis y seguras sobre vosotras mismas"

Entre otras canciones destacables de la banda relacionadas con el tema son Them Girl Be Like, Suggar Mamma o Worth It.

 Y LOS CONTRAS:

Unos de los grandes, no sé si fallos, pero si desaciertos es, que a pesar de los mensajes positivos de las cantantes vía Twitter y canciones de ser como eres, hacer lo que quieras, etc... Estas cinco chicas siguen un canon el canon de belleza establecido por la industria de la música. Si comparamos la primera imagen de X Factor con la última  se puede ver el gran cambio que han pegado en estos años donde se  han visto expuestas al mundo del escenario. No critico eso, pero quisiera dejar constancia de que a pesar de vender mediante canciones la aceptación y una buena autoestima, presentan una imagen a la cual la mayoría de sus fans aspiran pero que nunca conseguirán llevando una vida normal, no una vida como la de las componentes de Fifth Harmony. Ellas venden el prototipo de mujer perfecta con una media de 18 años, esto puede causar frustaciones personales (que para nada es el fin que persigue la banda pero que se encuentra en un subtexto). ¿Cómo quieren que sus fans se sientan guapas y se acepten cuando sus fans no podrán parecerse a ellas? Me parece que venden ilusiones, buenas, pero al fin y al cabo vanas.

Cuando haces lo que a otros no les gusta...

“Life will bring you pain all by itself. Your responsibility is to create joy.”

...Y no me refiero a pegar o insultar a gente, no, me refiero a pasar un límite, una pequeña línea entre lo que la mayoría entiende como normal: Lo que a la gente no le gusta.

No voy a dar un ejemplo concreto, pero estoy más que seguro de que alguna vez todos hemos hecho algo que a los demás, o simplemente a una persona, no le gustaba, y no le gustaba porque le parecía excéntrico, raro o incluso estúpido. No lo entienden. Ese es el problema, no entienden que a veces tú (que también perteneces a una gran corriente o main-stream) quieres salir un poco del círculo en el que vives. A mucha gente no le gustará que saques ni un pie, otra gente te aplaudirá por hacerlo; ¿pero algo de eso importa? Sí importa.

Que una persona o personas te estén recordando constantemente que no eres normal, y con normal me refiero a seguir las normas (establecidas por el grupo), puede herir fuertemente la autoestima ya que ellos no entienden el por qué, pero que ellos no lo entiendan no significa que en tu cabeza no tenga coherencia; en cambio que la gente apoye tus nuevas ideas, sueños, proyectos, o en lo que quieras pensar que te hace sentir mejor, da más valía a tu trabajo, es como dar un acogedor abrazo a tus ideas, te hace sentir bien.

Si puedes hacerlo, hazlo. Habrá gente que juzgue, habrá gente que apoye. Lo entenderán o no. Te ayudarán o no. Pero si crees en algo que te gusta, o simplemente quieres salirte un poco de lo común, ve a por ello y hazlo porque probablemente mañana no podremos.
